The Te Puke Rifle Club is on a farm on Maniatutu Road, Te Puke. The Range has three distances: 300, 500, and 600 yards. Shooting is held weekly from September to the end of April. As the range is on farmland, the winter months have to be set aside for calving and lambing, but otherwise we enjoy having the use of this range and it is valued by all club members. Also due to the range being on a farm no dogs are allowed. At Te Puke we shoot both Target rifle using a sling to support the rifle and open sights, and F Class where a scope and a rest is used to hold up the rifle. We have club gear available for use, this involves jackets, scopes, rifles and ammo. One can shoot at local club days, national and international Championships. In fact, shooting is catered for right up to Commonwealth Games level. All shooting is conducted under strict Range and Safety standards as per N.R.A.N.Z. Rules. We have paid markers, but you are free to go down to the butts to get a good grounding in shooting from both ends of the range! If you are interested please contact, in the first instance, |
